Tryout and Team Formation Process

Welcome to the PRIDE SC Tryout and Team Formation information page for the 2022-2023 season!  PSC will be providing multiple opportunities to join a team for the 2022-2023.  Please see all of the details below and let us know if you have any questions!

Step 1

Create a Demosphere account via or login to current account and register for 2022-2023 Tryouts.

2022-2023 Tryout Registration Link

Step 2
For the best team placement, all players new to PRIDE SC (not currently on a PSC Team) are recommended to attend a PRIDE SC team training session in May.  After registering for 2022-2023 Tryouts online, ALL NEW PLAYERS  need to fill out the OPEN TRAINING SESSION FORM  to RSVP for one of these sessions.  If you have questions about these open tryout sessions or have conflicts with the schedule, please contact Mark Casperson (Girls Teams) or Alex Wentz (Boys Teams).

New players must attend “open tryouts” as scheduled below if they did not attend a training session to be considered for a team.

Current PRIDE SC players who are registered for 2022-2023 tryouts and are in good standing, will be given the opportunity to commit back to a team/age group without the need to attend a traditional “open tryout” unless a PSC Staff Coach or Director recommends attending open tryouts.  All current PSC players will be evaluated for team placement during the season and Copa/Samba Teams will be mixed at times during the season to assess players who can move up/down within the age group.  Extra training sessions or additional invitations to the open tryouts as scheduled below may also be scheduled to combine teams for the purpose of further player evaluation.

The tryout and team formation process is fluid and some age groups may differ on exact timing of team formation and offers.  In general, the majority players will receive an offer by the end of May with most other players receiving an offer by June 3rd

Step 3 (If necessary)
Attend open tryouts on scheduled dates/times.

U7 (2016) - U12 (2011):  Tuesday, May 31; 6:00-7:30pm

U13 (2010) – U19 (2004): Wednesday, June 1; 6:00-7:30pm

All open tryouts located at:
CW Middle School and Walnut Creek Park Fields,
7155 Parkview Drive, Canal Winchester, OH 43110

(Field assignments will be emailed out prior to open tryouts)

Final Step - Commitment Process:

All current and new players who registered/attended 2022-2023 Tryouts will be contacted during the team formation process regarding their team offer.  If you have questions about the specific team, please do not hesitate to ask the director or head coach.

When a player is offered a spot, they will be asked to either accept or decline the offer as soon as possible – preferably within 48 hours of the offer.   To make this process as efficient as possible for 700+ players, electronic email offers will be the primary way offers are made, players will not receive a phone call.  Parents are expected to check their email(s) during this process.
In order to fully accept, players must select “accept” in the registration system, and then go through the registration process to the very end, pay the deposit, then receive a confirmation.
